Bio

Jina Shin (Incheon, 1989) is a South Korean artist active in Germany. She graduated from Kyung Hee University and is now a student at the Stuttgart Academy. Her artistic practice delves into political themes with an ironic perspective, employing sculpture, performance, and video. In her works, she reinterprets familiar elements such as the body and clothing through disorienting transformations. Her intention is to challenge viewers and heighten their empathetic responses to their social realities.
